1. Name & Nationality
Clive M. Michelo, Zambian

2. When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
Couldn't decide on being an accountant or lawyer, but my curiosity for science got the better of me.

3. What was your previous academic training, where did you study?
I studied Genetics and Molecular Biology for my BSc at University of Zambia, then Molecular Mechanism of Disease at the Radboud for my MSc.

4. What is your current function and what would you like to achieve?
Currently I am a PhD student at the Laboratory of Medical Immunology, studying innate immunity viral responses in Kidney transplantation. If I could completely understand natural killer cells psyche I would be happy.

5. The RIMLS motto is 'to understand molecular mechanisms of disease'. What does this mean for you?
It means one day we will understand our human biology to harness some form of immortality and I am glad to make my contribution to that greater cause.

6. What is the biggest motivation in your work?
My greatest motivation is that one day systems biology with some super algorithm will map all our bits research work together and it will all make sense.

7. What is your dream for the future?
A disease free future (well at least free of malaria because it scares the heck out of me!).
