Anneke den Hollander appointed as Professor

On December 1st 2014, Anneke den Hollander has been appointed professor in Molecular Ophthalmology.

The goal of the professorship is to improve personalized healthcare in ophthalmology based on the molecular profile of the individual patient. The focus will lie on multifactorial retinal diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration, chronic retinitis centralis serosa and diabetic retinopathy. New concepts from the molecular research will be translated to the clinic in close collaboration with our ophthalmologists.
