Get involved in organising Radboud Frontiers in Cilia symposium

At the end  of each year a top international symposium, with the intention of exploring the newest scientific research and pioneering developments, is organized focusing on one or more of thematic areas of the Radboudumc. This year, the topic will be cilia in health and disease.

A prominent list of speakers have already accepted to speak (www.rimls.nl/radboudfrontiers2015). Are you interesting in contributing to the further organisation of this symposium, PR, website, sponsorship etc then mail Adrian Cohen asap. We're looking for two researchers, minimally one PhD candidate.

Radboud Frontiers in Cilia Medicine

November 30th and December 1st 2015

Primary cilia are highly conserved sensory organelles that extend from the surface of almost all vertebrate cells. Primary cilia have critical roles in sensing the extracellular environment, and in numerous developmental signalling pathways. Disruption of these functions underlies a diverse spectrum of (genetic) disorders, known as primary ciliopathies. Known ciliopathies include primary ciliary dyskinesia, Bardet-Biedl syndrome, polycystic kidney and liver disease, nephronophthisis, and some forms of retinal degeneration. True to our Frontiers symposia, a top line-up of speakers who will provide high-quality presentations on current achievements and challenges ahead.
