Travel Grants and Internationalization for PhD's During your PhD project you will come across many opportunities to broaden your horizons by visiting other labs for short or long stays as well as attending congresses and workshops. Aside from the usual 'dear supervisor, please can I have some funds…' how else might you be able to secure funding. As a PhD student, you can apply to several funding bodies. Courtesy of the PhD committee, here is our handy guide.

 

 

Provided by the international office:

- Teaching: with a minimum of 5 hours per week at a university in Europe. The student receives compensation for additional costs and travel expenses.  

- Staff training: visit to a company, university of congress with a minimum of 5 working days in Europe. The student receives compensation for additional costs and travel expenses.

  • Budget Internationalization: PhD students can apply twice for this budget, with a maximal compensation of 1500€, with an equal amount paid by the faculty.
