Han Brunner elected member of the KNAW

The Royal Netherlands Academy for Arts and Sciences (KNAW) has elected new members, including Han Brunner, clinical genetics. Prof. Brunner will be inducted at the annual meeting in September The main functions of the 287 members of the Academy (science division) are (1) Advising the government on matters related to scientific research; (2) Assessing the quality of scientific research (peer review); (3) Providing a forum for the scientific world and promoting international scientific cooperation; and (4) Acting as an umbrella organisation for the institutes primarily engaged in basic and strategic scientific research and disseminating information.

Other NCMLS KNAW members include Wilhelm Huck, Carl Figdor and John Jansen.
