Like to grow old, but not to be old (PRECURO research)

The recent outcomes of the PRECURO research indicate that regular screening for vulnerability of the 65+population by general practitioners is very important.

The encouragement of self-reliance of the elderly within the community is necessary. Our challenges in the field of prevention with the elderly are maintaining independence and functionality. As one participant stated in the study: I want to grow old, but I do not want to be it.

The PRECURO research, an initiative of the Department of Primary and Community Care and the academic workplace AMPHI, offers practical tools to give both shape and content to this multidisciplinary collaboration.
