This year, the international Open Access Week kicks off with a RU/VSNU debate ‘Who takes the plunge?’.  During this debate, president of the Radboud University Executive Board Gerard Meijer, editor-in-chief Johan Rooryck, researcher Sarah de Rijcke, and PhD student Machteld van Egmond will shed light on the matter, each from their own perspective. What are the advantages and drawbacks of open access and what does it take to make the system work?

You are more than welcome to join the discussion and give your anonymous opinion using a voting device. The discussion will be held in English. Admission is free, but don't forget to register here. Lunch will be provided from 11:30 – 12:00 hrs.
