Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences

RIMLS logo

In line with the Radboudumc's strategic vision to "have a significant impact on healthcare", the major goal of RIMLS is to generate basic knowledge from molecular medical research and to translate this knowledge into clinical application through the development of disease diagnostics and innovation in the treatment of patients. RIMLS institute is built on the successful platform of the NCMLS institute.

Research is bundled into 17 clinically-orientated research themes 'housed' within three institutes, namely: Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences, Radboud Institute for Health Sciences and Donders Centre for Neuroscience (part of the larger Donders Institute). The themes form high quality focused research lines from molecule-to-man-to-population (M-M-P). Two additional themes are "mechanism-based" located at the flanks of the M-M-P-spectrum, in particular for researchers who's expertise goes beyond the other 17 disease-related themes. These two flanking themes are: (a) Chemical Biology / Nanomedicine and (b) Healthcare Improvement Science. In the coming weeks and months we will be working hard to complete our website.
