Radboud Talks: finals pitch competition

pitch.jpg

Radboud Talks is a pitch competition where scientists from all disciplines tell their story in just three minutes for a live audience and jury. Powerpoint presentations are strictly prohibited, so no borings lists or charts. Instead, you will see science on stage like you’ve never seen it before.

On Wednesday night March 30, the finalists from all different faculties of Radboud University and Radboudumc will compete for the grand jury prize and the audience award in LUX Nijmegen. So get your tickets fast and come cheer for your personal favourite. Besides pitches (all in English), there will also be music by La très illustre compagnie du Chat Noir and a literary closing by Juliet Gagnon, writer and storyteller at production company Wintertuin. There are 3 finalists from the Radboudumc:

  • Physicist Anne Neerincx, who is working on a breath test for cystic fibrosis (CF) patients
  • Jona Walk, physician at the department of Malaria studies, who wants to train the immune system to battle Malaria parasites more effectively
  • Paediatric resident Lara van den Wijngaart, who is developing a virtual asthma clinic for children
