Successful 2014 Paper Award session

This week the 2014 Paper Awards Session of the Tumours of the Digestive Tract Research Theme was held.

In five-mintue elevator pitches the PhDs from the theme plugged their best paper. Lauranne Derikx won first prize with her paper on the development of pouch carcinomas in IBD patients. Aisha Sie was runner up with her paper on cost-effectiveness of Lynch syndrome screening for patients up to 70 years of age. The third prize was shared between Jasmijn van Kampen (review on epigenetic targeting in pancreatic cancer) and Ingirid Vogelaar (somatic mutations in mismatch repair genes).
