The seventh European Multidisciplinary Colorectal Cancer Congress in Amsterdam, organised by the Dutch Colorectal Cancer Group with Nicoline Hoogerbrugge en Iris Nagtegaal, was very successful for the Radboudumc. Jolanda de Vries, Marjolijn Ligtenberg and Nicoline Hoogerbrugge delivered well-received plenary lectures. Many of our PhDs and postdocs were selected for poster presentations.

Two of the four best abstracts (selected for plenary lectures) were from the Radboudumc: Aisha Sie en Annemarie Boleij.

Titles of the abstracts:

Aisha Sie:
Fourfold increased detection of Lynch syndrome by raising age limit for tumour genetic testing from 50 to 70 years is cost-effective.

Annemarie Boleij:
The Bacteroides fragilis toxin gene is prevalent in colorectal cancer patients.
