Willy van Heumen prize awarded to Ellen van den Bogaard

Ellen van den Bogaard, postdoc at the Dept. of Dermatology, theme Inflammatory diseases wins the Willy van Heumenprize 2015 awarded by the "Stichting Stimuleringsfonds Alternatieven voor Proefdieren".

She receives 15.000 Euro for her research on 3D cultured skin. Toxicologist Jochem Louisse (Wageningen UR) also receives this award this year. The 'Willy van Heumenprize', is awarded every two years to honor researchers who perform research without the use of experimental animals. The award winners will be presented on 15 October at the conference Laboratory Animal Science 2.0, held to celebrate the 60 year anniversary of the Cenral Animal Facility of the Radboudumc.
