Profile

Nathan Kucko graduated from Kazou Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University (Alfred, New York) with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biomedical Materials Engineering Science in December 2012. Upon graduation, he worked as a researcher at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University where he focused his research on the delamination of pharmaceutical glass vials. In September 2013 he enrolled in a Master's program in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at the University of Sheffield (Sheffield, UK) where he attained his Master's of Science degree in Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine in September 2014. His Master's thesis focused on using a novel freeze-gelation technique to fabricate porous hyadroxyapatite-cellulose composite scaffolds for hard tissue regeneration. He currently is a PhD candidate in the Department of Biomaterials at Raboudumc where he is working on the development of calcium phosphate cements for hard tissue regeneration.
