Renal disorders


Ideke studied Biomedical Sciences at the Radboud University from 2009 till 2012, with Pathobiology as major. She performed her short internship at the Human Genetics department of UMC St Radboud under supervision of Dr. Ir. Ronald Roepman and Karlien Coene, where she characterized the novel protein LCA5L. In 2012 she performed her final internship at the Otolaryngology department of Stanford University, California, USA under supervision of Prof. Stefan Heller and Dr. Meike Herget to study the dynamics of synaptic vesicle trafficking in auditory inner hair cells. In the beginning of 2013 she started as a PhD student in the group of Dr. Ir. Ronald Roepman (Human Genetics Department) to study the association between polarized exocytosis and retina-renal ciliopathies using a functional and genetic approach.
