Jeroen Langereis received his Ph.D. from Utrecht University in the laboratory of Prof. Leo Koenderman where he studied the role of neutrophilic granulocytes in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Since August 2009 he is employed as a post-doctoral researcher in the Laboratory of Pediatric Diseases of Prof. Peter Hermans at the Radboud University Medical Center Nijmegen. His postdoctoral research combines his experiences in microbiology and immunology. His main focus is the identification of vaccine targets for non-typeable Haemophilus influenzae with genome-wide screens such as GAF and Tn-seq and the role of neutrophils in modulating disease severity.
