In the master of the study biomedical sciences I performed one internship at the pathology department, concerning development of novel antibodies against PlexinD1, a protein target expressed on both tumor and bloodvessel cells in glioma. The second internship in Kuopio, Finland, concerned targeting of molecular and cellular structures in atherosclerosis. Now I will work again on targeting glioma, focussing on other known protein targets like EGFR, IDH1R132H and bRAFV600E. To this aim the technique phage display is used to find specific nanobodies, which ideally can be used for  therapeutical and imaging purposes.
