Vascular damage

Theme leader: Gerard Rongen

Early detection of atherosclerosis, primary and secondary prevention of atherosclerosis, optimal treatment of atherosclerosis to preserve end‐organ function, and implementation of effective diagnostics and therapies in practice are the key focus areas of this theme. We want to increase the understanding of causes and consequences of vascular injury and translate this knowledge into improved personalized cardiovascular healthcare.
